About

The interesting problem starts after the answer.

XRX builds AI characters that carry a relationship forward, and the tool that lets anyone make one. The company exists because doing that properly takes longer than a project.

Two selves and the surface where they meet Two circles of equal size overlap. One is the character's modelled self, the other the person's. The relationship is defined as the overlap rather than as a note one keeps about the other. A SELF WE BUILD A SELF THAT ACCUMULATES THE RELATIONSHIP

Almost every system you can talk to today is built to answer. It waits, it responds well, and then it forgets you. The industry has spent several years becoming very good at the answering part and has left the rest of it alone.

The rest of it is the part we find interesting. Not a better answer, but something that carries: a presence that knows how long it has been, that means what it says rather than performing it, and that is still recognisably the same thing next month.

Underneath that sits a stranger idea, and it is the one we would most like to be right about. If a character can have a self that we model, then the person in front of it can be modelled the same way. What a system comes to know about a person would then belong to that person and travel with them, instead of being divided up among the products that happened to meet them.

Ten shallow relationships do not add up to one deep one.

Vision

Anyone can bring a character to life, and keep it.

We are not a company that sells characters. We build the ground a character comes alive on, so that one made in an afternoon can stand in a game, a broadcast, a kiosk or a quiet conversation at night, and be the same one in all of them.

One character, many places A single character made once, connected out to an app, a game, a broadcast, a kiosk and a private conversation, and the same one in all of them. Made once An app A game A broadcast A kiosk A quiet room at night THE SAME ONE IN ALL OF THEM

What is rare about this team

AI and XR in one room

These are normally two companies, two vocabularies, two floors. Fusing them into one system is where almost everyone stops, and the people here have spent careers on both sides of that line: the real-time engines, and the intelligence that runs inside them.

We finish things

Two decades of shipping products that had to work on a deadline, in front of people, without a demo mode. That history is why planning, creative direction and engineering sit at the same table here rather than handing work down a corridor.

Consistency treated as engineering

A character that is different from yesterday cannot be a relationship. So proving that a new feature has not changed how an existing character answers is not quality assurance for us. It is the product, and it has a standing suite of contract tests defending it.

We publish what is not finished

Our research notes state which parts of the system are unsolved, in more detail than is comfortable. That is deliberate. Honesty about the gaps is the only thing that makes the rest of the claims worth reading.

Intellectual property

Twenty filings, protecting the parts that took the longest.

3 Registered Responsive interactive space, real-time ultra-high-resolution content, AI rendering.
14 Applications Multimodal sensor fusion, long-term memory personalisation, hierarchical affective knowledge memory.
3 PCT international Interactive responsive space and multimodal sensor fusion, filed internationally.

Further filings on emotion, empathy and meaning are in progress.

Team

People who have built markets before.

Luke Park

CEO · Co-founder

Twenty-six years in games, XR and AI. Founded Unity Korea, Dev Korea and MonsterVR before this. Has shipped enough real-time products to know which parts of a schedule are lies.

JSP

CFO · Co-founder

Previously Goldman Sachs and Merrill Lynch. Economics at Yale. Works across US and Asian capital markets, and is the reason the honest version of the numbers is the only version that leaves this building.

Sunny Hong

CBO · Co-founder

Brand strategy and UX for more than four hundred Korean companies. Runs Design Focus, a leading Korean brand consultancy. Argues for the person in front of the product, loudly, and is usually right.

Philip

CTO

Twenty-six years in backend and AI. Built enterprise AI infrastructure that runs in production, delivered through Samsung Electronics, SK and ETRI. Owns the parts that must not go down.

Jin

CQO

Twenty-seven years building content. Led exclusive projects for Tencent, a game-room project for Facebook, and AI and XR work for Samsung. Knows what a character has to do before anyone believes in it.

Noah Park

Product Designer

Designs and builds product experience across three languages. The one who notices that a screen full of numbers is not a feeling, and rebuilds it.
